Description
Thermal transfer printing uses a heat-sensitive ribbon which, when it comes into contact with the printhead ‘transfers’ the ribbon/ink onto the label. Printing with a ribbon is more durable and longer lasting than direct thermal especially when stored outdoors or in direct sunlight.
The ribbons can be different colours, so the user is not limited to black print. The printing is very crisp and durable, so this method is excellent for high density bar-codes and labels that require longevity. Another benefit of thermal transfer labels is that these printers can print on paper, film and even foil stock materials.
We supply our labels blank so that our customers can print or write whatever is needed to suit their business. If printing is required, please see our BARCODE PRINTING BUREAU on our services page for more information.
